Dutch Test Canada ("DTC," "we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. DTC operates as an administrative intermediary that works with independently contracted licensed practitioners authorized to order DUTCH™ hormone testing, and coordinates with Precision Analytical, Inc.

Information We Collect

Personal Information: When you place an order or create an account, we collect information such as:

  • Name and contact information (email address, phone number, mailing address)
  • Payment information (processed securely through our payment provider — DTC does not store credit card numbers)
  • Date of birth (for test interpretation purposes and age verification)
  • Gender (for test interpretation purposes)
  • Province/state of residence (for geographic eligibility verification)

Health Information: As part of facilitating DUTCH™ hormone testing services, we collect:

  • Dried urine samples for laboratory analysis
  • Health questionnaire responses (optional, for enhanced interpretation)
  • Menstrual cycle information (if applicable)
  • Test results and reports

Consent Information: We record your consent acknowledgment confirming that you authorize DTC and its Contracted Practitioners to order and handle lab work on your behalf, and that you consent to the lab communicating with you via email regarding your health information.

Automatically Collected Information: When you visit our website, we may automatically collect:

  • IP address and browser type
  • Pages visited and time spent on pages
  • Referring website addresses
  • Device and operating system information

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Process and fulfill your test orders
  • Share necessary information with our independently Contracted Practitioners to place laboratory orders on your behalf
  • Send your urine samples to our partner laboratory (Precision Analytical, Inc.) for analysis
  • Deliver your test results and reports
  • Verify your eligibility (age and geographic restrictions)
  • Communicate with you about your order, including shipping updates
  • Provide customer support
  • Improve our website and services
  • Send promotional communications (only with your consent)
  • Comply with legal obligations

How We Share Your Information

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. As an intermediary, we share your information with the following parties as necessary to facilitate your testing services:

  • Contracted Practitioners: We share your relevant personal and health information with independently licensed practitioners who are contracted by DTC to place laboratory orders on your behalf. These practitioners are bound by their own professional obligations regarding the confidentiality of your information and operate under their own professional licenses.
  • Laboratory Partners: We share your urine samples and necessary identifying information with Precision Analytical, Inc. (the creators of the DUTCH™ test) to perform the hormone analysis. By consenting at the time of purchase, you authorize the lab to communicate with you via email regarding your health information.
  • Service Providers: We use third-party services for payment processing, email communications, and shipping. These providers have access only to information necessary to perform their functions.
  • Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or government regulation.

Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information, including:

  • SSL/TLS encryption for data transmission
  • Secure storage of personal and health information
  • Limited access to personal data on a need-to-know basis
  • Contractual obligations with Contracted Practitioners and service providers regarding data protection
  • Regular security assessments

While we strive to protect your information, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security. DTC is not responsible for the data security practices of Contracted Practitioners or Precision Analytical, Inc. once information has been shared with them.

Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to:

  • Provide our services to you
  • Comply with legal obligations
  • Resolve disputes
  • Enforce our agreements

Test results are retained for a period of 7 years to allow for comparison with future tests. You may request deletion of your data at any time (see Your Rights below). Note that data held by Contracted Practitioners and Precision Analytical, Inc. is subject to their own retention policies.

Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information:

  • Access: Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
  • Correction: Request correction of inaccurate information
  • Deletion: Request deletion of your personal information held by DTC
  • Portability: Request your data in a portable format
  • Withdraw Consent: Withdraw consent for marketing communications at any time

To exercise these rights, please contact us. For data held by Contracted Practitioners or Precision Analytical, Inc., you may need to contact those parties directly.
